The residents of the East Village luxury homes at EVGB, which are now 50% leased, have one of the city’s prime shopping destinations right under their feet. A new Target store has opened its doors on the building’s ground floor and will stay open until midnight six days a week, with 11 pm closings on Sunday evenings. While the shop is not the megastore shoppers may expect from Targets in suburban areas, it will provide the same high-quality, low-cost products, from groceries to home goods. The store, which is already welcoming customers, will also celebrate with a grand opening on Saturday, July 21st, with the first 1,000 shoppers through the doors getting a free tote bag.
